Events in Charleston – October 2017

October is a fun time of year in the Lowcountry. The temperature drops just a tad and fall and Halloween festivals are in full force. There are fun family events all throughout the month. Check out some of my favorites here:

Start off October with MUSC’s Charleston Oktoberfest! Make plans to attend Charleston Oktoberfest at MUSC Health Stadium on Sunday, October 1st from noon to 5 pm. We are coming back strong for an annual tradition in Charleston, Oktoberfest will feature a wide variety of seasonal beers, live German music, German dancers, great food from several local vendors, a kids zone, and more!

You definitely don’t want to miss the highlight of the day: the traditional Bavarian Games. During the games, adults will team up and compete for the title of Oktoberfest Champions.
